Barrel race

Definition : A form of rodeo event that involves the horse's athletic ability and the rider's horsemanship


Etymology : from O.Fr. baril (12c.), with forms in all Romance languages, but origin uncertain; perhaps from Gaulish


Feeling bored, John decided to go to the rodeos for a barrel race in order to keep fit and have some thrills
