Happy-go-lucky


Definition: trusting cheerfully to luck; happily unworried or unconcerned.


Etymology: From Gk. to Ir., a great majority of the European words for "happy" at first meant "lucky." Happy-go-lucky is from 1672.


Tim is a happy-go-lucky boy, he is always playing and does not study for his upcoming examinations.
